Q & A What is Up With the New Masonry Materials?
The initial concerns with cultured (phony) stone fading in UV light and popping off of buildings during freeze/thaw cycles seem to have passed, and truly the products have improved, along with the application methods. Now 20 years later, it appears to be a pretty good product.
That said, I still prefer real stone and/or real brick. If for no other reason its timeless quality and year in and year out performance.
